Forthcoming Events

Annual General Meeting 2026

Tuesday, January 27th from 5pm at Browns Covent Garden in-person, and from 5.30pm on Zoom.

At this year’s AGM you can expect reports from all committee heads, reporting on news from the last year and looking ahead to the priorities for 2026.

We will be joined by Hachette‘s CEO Katie Espiner, Deputy CEO Richard Kitson, CIO Brendan Goss and Director of Financial Planning Emily-Jane Taylor to discuss the recent situation with their royalties.

We will also hear from guest speakers Emma Lowe from London Book Fair and Kim Young from Transworld and we will be welcoming three new Committee members, as Claire Wilson, John Baker and Karolina Sutton reach the end of their terms as President, Secretary and Ordinary Member. We will send you manifestos of the new committee members along with the agenda for the meeting in due course.

This will be a hybrid event which you can attend either online or in-person. You can select how you wish to attend on the Eventbrite page.

Please note: we are constantly trying to improve our events and have purchased new equipment to improve the sound quality for online attendees as we are aware this has been sub-par at previous hybrid events.

The room will be open for anyone who would like to gather for drinks from 5pm, before the meeting (and online stream) starts at 5.30. We will also hold the usual drinks reception after the meeting. In-person attendees are limited to 100 due to the capacity of the venue, so please sign up to allow us to track numbers.

Sign up to attend the AGM online or in-person here.
